As rapid globalization has resulted in division, there are extraordinary possibilities for working together with an aim for a cross-cultural creative collaboration – for the exchange of ideas, tradition, and innovation across borders.Seeking to understand, this project will act as a model for cultural collaboration – seeking to build bridges through the language of music, one founded in difference with the benefits of a more connected community.

In answer to the question: "What happens when beautifully diverse artists meet?" Showcasing four unique artist ensemble culturally rich performances each 25 minutes in length with featured multi-national folk artists and performers.Through their creativity, artists will contribute to a musical dialogue that will underscore our collective potential to shape a more inclusive, empathetic and just world.

Music Without Borders will provide a unique opportunity for world class musicians to perform and collaborate, sparking radical cultural collaboration and passion-driven learning for a more hopeful and inclusive world. Music Without Borders will result in:

  • Creation of new music — Music without Borders will seize upon a musical language founded in difference and collaboration that will draw on the rich tapestry of world traditions that make up our many-layered contemporary identities.

  • Social impact initiatives — Music Without Borders will bring music, hope, and healing to the community of Newmarket, present a reflection of artistic traditions, and demonstrate how great beauty can emerge from great difference.
